Seriously, they all need to go extinct. Every god damned subspecies of them, and anything closely related to them need to die in a fire.

So I’m sitting here playing guitar hero, and I’m about 4.5 minutes into ‘One’ by Metallica. Accidentally I tilt the guitar up a bit too much and use the full star power I had planned to use for the solo. So I’m thinking ‘Ah screw it, i’ll go for it and see what happens.’ The solo comes, and I’m expecting to instantly fail miserably. Instead, I somehow manage to tear the first portion of it apart completely, still in the green on the meter. Next part of the solo comes, which is quite a bit easier. I breathe a sigh of relief, and then suddenly this HUGE FUCKING MOTH lands right on my face,  scares the living crap out of me, and causes me to almost instantly fail the song.

Well that moth is still around here somewhere, and I’m determined to find it. However, I tried the song again about 4 more times after that happened, and even with star power, couldn’t get nearly as good a run as that first time. Been trying to do this forever, and can’t get anywhere with it. And when I finally do, moths screw me up. I’ve always hated them, now even more so.

tl;dr: fuck you Kirk Hammett

After playing Ninja Gaiden 2 for the past few days, I was all ready to do a write up on it; my thoughts, opinions, etc. I can still do that, since I beat the game, but I don’t want to because MY DISC IS FUCKED. Had it for 4 days and there’s a huge-ass circular scratch around the whole thing, freezing the game any time it gets to a ‘now loading’ screen. And to make it worse, the receipt to  return it is probably in my neighbors trash somewhere, since we brought it right back to his house after picking it up, and I didn’t bother to take the bag with me back home.

So, I’ve got the game I’ve been waiting for most of all for about the past 3 years already fucked up beyond belief, and unless by some miracle I can find the receipt, I’m probably shit out of luck. *sigh* :(

I’ll give my in-depth thoughts on the game some other time when I cool down, but overall it was pretty fucking win.

Seriously, today is going to drag on F O R E V E R. It’s only 3rd period and it feel like it’s taken 6 hours just to get here. Ugh. And once school’s over I’m gonna have to run like a bat out of hell to catch the bus to the mall, or i’ll be waiting for quite a while and it’ll suck.

If you’ve never played the Ninja Gaiden for the original Xbox, go get it. You’ll find it at pretty much any gamestop on the $10 rack with all the other Xbox games, and I can’t think of a better game to spend $10 on. And even if you haven’t, go get NG2 today. DO IT.

I’d say I’ll write a review or comment on the game later tonight after I play it, but the thought of me doing something besides playing it untill I pass out tonight is pretty funny.

EDIT: NEVERMIND I WAS LIED TO IT DOSEN’T COME OUT UNTILL TOMORROW ARGH.

School needs to fucking end. Noone cares about anything anymore, it’s just 7 1/2 hours of sitting here doing nothing each day, it’s mind-numbing. I’d prefer to do something for once, even if it was just to give me a reason to slack off. You can’t slack off when you’re not doing anything in the first place. Oh, and people in this class playing random flash games need to STOP FUCKING SCREAMING. You won Tetris/centipede/asteroids/whatever. We get it. Now shut up.

Didn’t watch Air the other day like I planned, instead decided to finish up Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, since thats yet *another* show I started watching forever ago and didn’t finish. I thought i was farther into it then I actually was though (though I was around 17 or something, was only at 12). Up to 20 now though, i’ll finish it up later tonight. Maybe i’ll do Black Lagoon in the next few days as well. Air can wait, after F/SN and playing tsukihime, another VN-adaptation animu can wait.

Oh, thats right, get to try out that new Touhou fighting game, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, when I get home today. Saw it finished downloading last night before I went to bed, but was too tired to care for trying it out. Hopefully it dosen’t suck.

This post looks boring, theres no pictures of anything in it. That’s what happens when you proxy-post from school though, I guess. Oh well, possible Higurashi-thoughts-post later, so that’ll probably looks prettier. Why does ‘Prettier’ look like it’s spelled wrong for some reason?

…Has easily succeeded at scaring the crap out of me, and i’ve only got about an hour and fifteen minutes or so of gameplay. I saw the game at gamestop for $10 the other day and just had to get it, been wanting to play it for a while now and was never able to find a copy of it.

Needless to say, playing this alone, in the dark, at 1am is probably good conditions for a minor heart attack. There’s been more then one occasion where I’ve been using the camera to look around in 1st person, looked somewhere, then somewhere else, and turned back to the original spot only to have something along the lines of this staring me right in the face. Yea, I shat a brick.

The gameplay does a really good job of making the whole atmosphere really keep you on edge; specifically the camera angles. They always seem to be the kind of birds-eye/’Something’s watching you’ type of shots, and you’re always expecting something to jump out at you. However, the appearance of some of the enemies don’t always seem to be the same. One time I ran into some ghost chick in a film projector room, and when I came back again(Power surge owned the xbox before I could save) she was in a closet across the hall, hiding in a basket case type thing. You’ll never know where *all* the enemies are going to show up, but a good deal of them do seem to be preset though.

The whole Camera-exorcism type of ‘combat’ is kind of lame though. It’d be much better if ghosts died in one or two photo’s, but did more damage and gave you less time to react. Having most of them show up and just stand there, and having you take 5 pictures to kill them, while waiting for the camera to reload to take the next picture in between, is kind of unexciting. The game isn’t exactly focused on combat, so it’s not a complaint, I just think they tried a little too hard on it.

Storyline wise, the game is great. Trapped in a village that’s disconnected from the outside world, in a different dimension or whatnot, kind of gives the feeling of purgatory, being trapped between this world and the afterworld, etc. You and your sister also apparently resemble twin shrine maidens that were involved in the ritual that destroyed the town way back when. Reincarnation, rituals, cults, shrine maidens, sealed-off worlds, all seem to be generally classic Japanese horror elements, all well crafted into the game. I don’t wanna rant about the story though; this isn’t a review, I’m still playing this damn thing because i can’t play for more then 20 minutes without being scared shitless.

All in all though, i’m happy I got it, seems like it’ll be a fun little time burner to keep me horrified entertained.

2110 COMBO BIATCH. God damn, didn’t even feel like I was playing doing this, just felt like my hands were in Stepmania-autopilot. And out of 2110 steps, I was 30 away from a AAA. First time playing it too, this song = owned. Sadly none of the versions on youtube are videos of the version I have of this song (Zephon by DJ Sharpnel). Time to go download other versions of it then :p

Probably only like 7,000 other blogs with this up already, seems to be quite the internet phenomenon. Regardless it’s pretty well done. List of the songs (as well as the torrent) here.

And also, on a semi-related note, an older video having to do with Mario and lots of free time:
