Did pretty bleh, but still. Omegaspike’s edit of ‘Through the Fire and Flames.’ I’d link a video but none of the ones on youtube or veoh are the right ones =\ Pretty accurate recreation of the GH3 notes though.

Honestly, lots of people are probably searching this right now, so I’m using this as a test to see if I suddenly get a crapton of hits or something. I didn’t actually want to write a post.

Lol Strike Witches

Okay, been about a month now since I wrote anything. Moving to Florida, starting college, etc caught up with me, not to mention having a fairly crappy internet connection. Regardless, figured I’ll do something, since I’m bored out of my mind right now anyway.

Clannad: Tomoyo Chapter: First Spice and Wolf, now Clannad. I’m loving these ‘3-months-later/DVD-only’ episodes. It’s just awesome to start up the video and hear the OP song of a series you liked, and thought was finished months ago. Anyways, they totally should have gone with this as the official ending to Clannad. WORLDS better than the rushed Nagisa ending they went with. Should have been a bit longer, but it was a great watch. Biggest BAWWWW of the series, although I’ve got mixed feelings on the engrish song playing near the end. Also: lolwut.

Hidamari Sketch x365: Never watched the first season of this, but judging by the first episode, it really dosen’t matter much. The main character is cute, it moves at a decent pace, has an enjoyable cast, good ’slice of life’-style humor, and the facial expressions are strangely enjoyable. Also; character moves away from home to live in an apartment and go to a new school? Sounds familiar (lol real-life relation. Although my experience won’t be anything as enjoyable as this will be.)

Strike Witches: Obligatory ‘LOL GONZO’, but god damn if this show isn’t delicious fanservice. Apparently mechanical devices that let girls draw on magical energy to fly and perform other feats is well within science’s ability, yet pants that conform to the female shape are strangely out of it’s grasp. Regardless, flying, pantsless, 10% furry lesbian lolis are, in my book, pretty damn awesome. Will keep watching, regardless of the fact that it’ll probably end horribly. Not like I really care. /In monthsb4 ‘GONZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!’

Blade of the Immortal: First episode seemed a bit too rushed, but it has potential. Been a while since there’s been a bloody samurai animu that hasn’t sucked. Will keep watching for now. Apparently it’s only scheduled to run for 13 episodes though.

That’s about it for now, trying out Telepathy Shoujo Ran and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu sometime soon. Should also finish up Mnemosyne, the last episode was released a while ago =\

Seriously, they all need to go extinct. Every god damned subspecies of them, and anything closely related to them need to die in a fire.

So I’m sitting here playing guitar hero, and I’m about 4.5 minutes into ‘One’ by Metallica. Accidentally I tilt the guitar up a bit too much and use the full star power I had planned to use for the solo. So I’m thinking ‘Ah screw it, i’ll go for it and see what happens.’ The solo comes, and I’m expecting to instantly fail miserably. Instead, I somehow manage to tear the first portion of it apart completely, still in the green on the meter. Next part of the solo comes, which is quite a bit easier. I breathe a sigh of relief, and then suddenly this HUGE FUCKING MOTH lands right on my face,  scares the living crap out of me, and causes me to almost instantly fail the song.

Well that moth is still around here somewhere, and I’m determined to find it. However, I tried the song again about 4 more times after that happened, and even with star power, couldn’t get nearly as good a run as that first time. Been trying to do this forever, and can’t get anywhere with it. And when I finally do, moths screw me up. I’ve always hated them, now even more so.

tl;dr: fuck you Kirk Hammett

Well, uh…………yeah, I said a while ago that if I drew anything that somewhat resembled something decent, i’d upload it, and here is said abomination. The drawing itself wasn’t anything magnificent from the start; her face is too wide, the eye’s are too slanted, nose is pretty awful-looking, etc. But that’s besides the point. I wanted to see how well I could trace, color and shade something I drew with photoshop. What I discovered is that shading is just as much of a pain in the ass as it’s made out to be.

Personally, I like the shading on the hair, albeit the hair color and highlights may be a bit too bright/sharp. I originally intended the picture to be a full-body drawing, but I got to the hands, realized that they SUCK ASS to draw, stopped, and just did this. Given a bit more practice I could probably do some decent-looking work, but for a first shot at basically everything, I’m satisfied enough with this.

Oh, and while I had photoshop open I made a quick wallpaper with a pre-cutout image, just to use it. It’s nice, but I totally cheated on everything and used tons of premade brushes for basically the whole picture :P

Oh man, this is amazing. How in the hell did a show like this get a 3rd season? Seriously, what the hell? I watched S2 a while back, and it was god-awful. Then I watched the first episode of S3 yesterday, and they did it; they succeeded in making it even more of a joke then it already was. It pisses me off that crap like this gets a 3rd season before Haruhi even gets a 2nd.

First off, the dialog is pretty awesome at times. If the creator’s weren’t trying to be funny with some of this crap, they’ve got talent for unintentional humor at the very least. Also, the characters have got the be the most uninteresting lineup of fanservice-girls I’ve seen in a while. Not a single one of them is appealing in any way other than ripped clothing and skirts. Given it’s fanservice, so they’re not exactly building on character, but still, at least make them somewhat cute and appealing personality-wise.

Which brings me to another point. It’s fanservice, so why in the fuck are they actually TRYING with the one thing a fanservice show isn’t supposed to try with; the storyline? You go from ‘You stole my food bitch! *shirt-shredding kick*’ to talking about and quoting Sun-Tzu’s ‘Art of War’? What in the hell? This show would probably be better off done backwards from what they’re actually doing. Just make it full-on porn, with a storyline added in, instead of attempting a miserable storyline with pantyshots thrown every which-way. It’d be more respectable in it’s own genre at least….

Overall, if you want a good ‘QUALITY’-inspired chuckle with boobies thrown in, give the show a try. Otherwise stay clear of this crap. I won’t be wasting any more Harddrive space with it. I think [Chihiro] summed it up best though, so tl;dr - “lol, this is the shittiest show I’ve ever watched…”

Yea, I’m pretty much addicted to buying manga now. It’s not even to read them much either; I still do most of that online with scans and whatnot. Main reason being to preserve the condition of the manga I’ve bought. Not like I’ll sell it anyway, but I guess it’s just natural to want collectable items in the best possible condition. I swear, it’s like pokemon cards all over again, and I’m mindlessly drawn into it without any hope of breaking the habit. But hey, at least manga can be displayed nicely as a collection. Cards you just keep in a deck locked away somewhere to preserve. Next will be anime figurines; oh god, my wallet is crying already.

I should, however, not buy much for a while, since I want to save money for a new computer, just in case I can’t student loan one. This desktop is starting to see the end of it’s days, and it’s about time for an upgrade anyway. 1GB of RAM isn’t so hot anymore. Not sure what i’ll get yet, but it’ll be a laptop, and it’ll be better than this thing I have now.

Like fucking REALLY hot. And none of the room’s here have AC in them, so it’s humid as all hell in every one of them. I’ve got lunch next too, so a room of even MORE sweaty hot people in a sunbathed room is going to suck. It’s so humid that I can’t even fucking draw; the ink in my pen dosen’t DO anything unless I really grind it into the paper and make insanely dark lines. No pencil either :( I still suck at drawing, but i’m somewhat practicing in school. Need to convince myself to practice at home too, but once I get home all I wanna do is vegitate in front of the AC. Maybe I’ll scan some doodles I’ve done in class if I get any I really like, but for now they’re all pretty meh.
